Private
coaching
Some people do not want to learn this in front of nine strangers. Some have a specific problem that a group class will never get to. Both are good reasons to book a private session.
Private coaching is one instructor, one student (or a couple), built entirely around what you need. There is no set curriculum and no fixed length — the session goes where your actual problem is.
Scheduling is by arrangement. Call 305.458.8429.
Who books private sessions
- Absolute beginners who would rather not have an audience for their first repetitions. This is by far the most common reason, and it is a completely reasonable one.
- Couples and families where one person has been shooting for years and the other has never touched a firearm. A group class serves neither of them well.
- Experienced shooters with one specific problem — an inconsistent draw, a flinch that has survived years of practice, a trigger press that falls apart on the clock.
- Officers failing qualification. Usually a mechanical issue nobody has had time to isolate. An hour of diagnostic work often fixes what months of qual days did not.
- Students returning after a long gap who want to rebuild safely before rejoining a group class.
How a session works
We start with a conversation about what you are actually trying to accomplish, because the stated goal and the real goal are often different. Then we work — classroom, simulator, or live range depending on what serves the problem.
The simulator lab earns its keep here. Laser dry-fire means real mechanics and real repetitions with zero live ammunition, so a nervous first-timer can build the habit before noise and recoil enter the picture, and an experienced shooter can run fifty draws without burning fifty rounds.
Where it leads
Most private students move into the group program once they have a foundation — either the Florida Complete Carry course or straight into the five-level pistol ladder. Some stay private. Both are fine.
Frequently asked questions
I have never touched a gun. Is that a problem?
No — it is the most common reason people book a private session. Starting with no habits at all is genuinely easier to teach than starting with bad ones.
Can my partner and I book together?
Yes, and it is a good use of a private session when your experience levels are very different. A group class has to teach to the middle; a private session does not.
Do I need my own firearm?
Bring one if you have one. If you are still deciding what to buy, say so when you call — figuring out what actually fits your hand before you spend the money is a good use of a session.
How long is a session?
It depends on the goal. Call and describe what you are working on and we will tell you honestly what it will take.
