Alpha One builds agency in-service firearms blocks around what a department actually needs — qualification, low-light, decision-making under load, and remedial coaching for officers who are struggling on the line.
Instruction is delivered by a Florida Class K licensed instructor and NRA Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor with three decades of operational background. Group and agency rates available.
Who this is for
Sworn officers, deputies, federal personnel, agency staff, and armed professionals who carry as a condition of the job — people for whom a qualification is a work requirement rather than a hobby.
Training blocks
- Qualification courses of fire — run to standard, scored, documented.
- Low-light and reduced-light — handheld technique, flashlight management, accuracy in reduced light. The environment most engagements actually happen in and the one that gets trained least.
- Use-of-force decision drills — shoot / no-shoot, threat prioritisation, target discrimination, and the articulation framework that follows an incident.
- Remedial and performance coaching — one-on-one work with officers who are failing or barely passing. Usually a fixable mechanical problem that nobody has had time to diagnose.
- Agency in-service blocks — built to your department's requirements rather than off a shelf.
Why Frank
Thirty-plus years across military service, government operations, private security, and firearms instruction. U.S. Army Combat Engineer (12B), Army Sharpshooter Marksmanship Badge, and a founding member of the Department of Homeland Security in 2001. Since then, protecting critical infrastructure, private facilities, and places of worship.
He also does not stop training. Graduate of the SIG SAUER Academy defensive handgun programme, Defense Training International under John Farnam, Rangemaster alumni under Tom Givens, and a graduate of the Law of Self Defense programme under attorney Andrew Branca. Active member of IALEFI, ILEETA, and NLEFIA.

Medical, because the range is not the only risk
Frank is an American Red Cross First Aid / CPR / AED and Basic Life Support instructor and a Department of Defense approved STOP THE BLEED® instructor. Hemorrhage control blocks can be built into an in-service day, which is worth doing for a unit that carries tourniquets but has never trained with them under stress.

Can you train at our range?
Yes, where your facility and policy allow it. We also have access to indoor, outdoor, and private ranges across South Florida, including a private range in Okeechobee for scenario work that a public range cannot accommodate.
Do you offer agency rates?
Yes. Group and agency rates are available and depend on size and scheduling. Call 305.458.8429 to discuss what your department needs.
Can you help officers who keep failing qualification?
That is one of the most useful things we do. Remedial coaching is one-on-one, diagnostic, and usually finds a mechanical problem — grip, trigger, or vision — that nobody has had time to isolate on a busy qual day.
Is instruction available in Spanish?
