Every armed officer on your roster must complete 4 hours of requalification training and a 48-round qualification every 12 months, or Florida suspends the Class G automatically — and an officer with a suspended licence cannot cover an armed post.
Alpha One runs group Class G licensing and requalification for Miami-Dade and Broward agencies, schedules around your coverage, and tracks every officer's expiration date so nobody on your roster quietly goes unqualified.
The problem you actually have
You are not short of training providers. You are short of a system that tells you, in advance, which of your officers is about to fall out of compliance — and that can put them through a requalification without stripping a shift.
The failure mode is always the same. An officer's qualification lapses quietly, because the licence card in their pocket still shows a date two years out. Nobody notices until a client audit, a state inquiry, or an incident makes it everyone's problem at once.

Scheduling around coverage, not against it
Bring a shift, a squad, or the whole roster. We build the calendar around your post coverage rather than asking you to work around ours — including split groups so you are never pulling every armed officer off the board on the same day.
Per-officer expiration tracking
Each officer we train gets a student file with their qualification date in it. Reminders go out at 90, 60, and 30 days. You get visibility on who is due rather than discovering it during an audit.
Documentation that survives scrutiny
Certificates, attendance, and qualification records issued in a form that holds up when a client or the state asks to see them. In Florida, training records carry legal weight — they are worth keeping properly.
One instructor, consistently
Your officers are trained by the same Class K licensed instructor every time, not whoever was available. That matters when you are trying to hold a standard across a roster.
Licensing new hires
For officers who are not yet armed, the sequence is the unarmed Class D first (handled by a separately licensed partner company — we will tell you who), then the 28-hour Class G course, then annual requalification.

Several stackable certifications are required or strongly preferred by end clients, and all are taught in-house by the same instructor:
- ASP baton certification — deployment, retention, and the use-of-force framework that governs it
- ASP OC / pepper spray — deployment and decontamination

- STOP THE BLEED® — Department of Defense recognised hemorrhage control
Bilingual instruction
A large share of the Miami-Dade security workforce is more comfortable being taught in Spanish, and legal instruction is exactly the block where comprehension matters most. Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum group size?
There is no hard minimum — we run small groups regularly. Class size is capped at ten students per instructor, so larger rosters are split across sessions rather than crowded into one.
Can you train at our facility?
Classroom and simulator work can often be arranged around your location. Live fire has to happen at a range — we use indoor, outdoor, and private ranges across South Florida, and we will pick the one that fits your group and schedule.
Do you offer agency or group rates?
Yes. Group and agency rates are available and depend on roster size and scheduling. Call 305.458.8429 to discuss.
Can you tell us which of our officers are out of date?
For officers we have trained, yes — their qualification dates are in our system and we flag who is coming due. For officers trained elsewhere, you will need their records; we can take it from there once they are in our system.
Do you cover Broward as well as Miami-Dade?
Yes. We regularly train agencies across Miami-Dade and Broward, and our range network covers South Florida from Hialeah down to Homestead, plus a private range in Okeechobee for larger group and scenario work.
